Both complex and essential, the role of the exhaust system is to prevent harmful gases from entering the vehicle and reduce engine noise.
The exhaust system consists of the exhaust manifold, catalytic converter, gas analysis probes, exhaust pipe, and, of course, the muffler.
All these elements are secured to the underside of the vehicle thanks to a set of flanges, supports and collars.
When the muffler is defective, you’ll hear rumbling sounds or other types of noises upon acceleration. To extend the life cycle of exhaust system parts, you should have them inspected regularly. In fact, we recommend you have your muffler and catalytic converter checked at each workshop visit. Your vehicle will perform better on the road, and you’ll save money on fuel.
